21 Gujarat police personnel awarded Service Medals on Independence Day 2024

Ahmedabad: On the occasion of Independence Day 2024, a total of 1,037 personnel from various services across India, including Police, Fire, Home Guard & Civil Defence (HG&CD), and Correctional Services, will be honored with Gallantry and Service Medals. Among those recognized, two police officers from Gujarat will receive the President’s Medal for Distinguished Service, while 19 others will be awarded the Medal for Meritorious Service. Additionally, four personnel from the Home Guard & Civil Defence are also being honored with the Medal for Meritorious Service.
The President’s Medal for Distinguished Service (PSM) is awarded to individuals with an outstanding record of service, while the Medal for Meritorious Service (MSM) recognizes valuable contributions marked by resourcefulness and dedication.
