4455 cusecs water release in river Sabarmati from Vasna barrage

Ahmedabad: According to the flood control room here, 4,455 cusec water is released in river Sabarmati from Vasna barrage by opening 3 gates. The villages likely to be affected due to this are alerted. As per a bulletin issued at 12 midnight on 11 August, the level of water in Vasna barrage was 132.75. The river Sabarmati beyond Vasna barrage flows to the areas of Ahmedabad distric mainly before meeting the Arabian sea in Bay of Khambhat.
