Botad: A lioness died late Tuesday night after falling into an open well in Itariya village of Gadhada taluka. The forest department team retrieved the lioness’s body from the well and sent it for a post-mortem examination.

Briefing the media about the incident, Range Forest Officer (Gadhada) IS Prajapati stated, “A lioness died after falling into an open, unprotected well on a farmer’s property in Itariya village, Gadhada taluka. The Gadhada Forest Department team arrived at the scene after receiving information about the incident and removed the lioness’s body from the well.”
