Mahesana: The pipeline of Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Ltd (ONGC) has ruptured near Suraj village in the Jotana area of the district. Due to the leakage, a significant amount of oil has spilled into the surrounding area and a nearby lake.

Locals reported the leakage issue to the authorities, stating that this poses a serious threat to the fish and other wildlife in the lake.
