Gandhinagar: In a move aimed at curbing corruption among government servants, the General Administration Department (GAD) of the Gujarat government has issued a circular mandating all government employees, excluding Class 4 employees, to submit their Annual Property Returns (APRs) by July 15.
Previously, only All-India cadre officers such as IAS, IPS, and IFS were required to file APRs.
With this directive, approximately 4 lakh government employees are now obligated to submit their APRs by the specified deadline. These returns must detail personal income, income of spouses and family members, and inherited property of the employees and their families.
ACS GAD, Kamal Dayani, issued the circular on June 29, instructing departments to ensure timely submission of APRs through the Karmayogi platform. DeshGujarat
