Portfolios of ministers from Gujarat in Modi 3.0 cabinet

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi took the oath of office for the third time on Sunday evening, along with 71 Members of Parliament who also assumed office. Today, the President of India, acting on the advice of the Prime Minister, has directed the allocation of portfolios among the members of the Union Council of Ministers. There are six ministers representing Gujarat in Parliament. Here are the details of the portfolios allocated to them:

Lok Sabha MP from Gandhinagar, Amit Shah, has been appointed as the Minister of Home Affairs and the Minister of Cooperation. Rajya Sabha MP from the state, Jagat Prakash Nadda, will serve as the Minister of Health and Family Welfare, as well as the Minister of Chemicals and Fertilizers. Another Rajya Sabha MP from the state, Dr. Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, has been assigned the role of Minister of External Affairs.

Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, the MP from Porbandar Lok Sabha seat, will take on the responsibilities of Minister of Labour and Employment, in addition to being the Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports. Navsari MP and Gujarat BJP Chief, C. R. Patil, has been appointed as the Minister of Jal Shakti. Lastly, Nimuben Jayantibhai Bambhaniya, a first-time MP from the Bhavnagar Lok Sabha seat, will serve as the Minister of State in the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution.
