AMC seals 15 more units today; total 703 units inspected, 93 sealed

Ahmedabad: Following the devastating fire at Rajkot’s TRP Gaming Zone, which resulted in 27 fatalities, the city’s civic body has been inspecting numerous establishments. In today’s operation, the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) inspected 226 units, sealing 15 of them for violating fire safety norms or lacking Building Usage (BU) permits.
Overall, the AMC has inspected 703 units, including hospitals, gaming zones, commercial complexes, coaching classes, party plots, and hotels. Out of these, 93 units were sealed for fire safety violations. Some of the sealed units were missing a Fire No Objection Certificate (NOC), while others lacked BU permission or were not operating according to their approved BU.
The units that were sealed today include, Garvi Gujarat Hospital, Datar Hospital, Shahpur Medical Hospital, Chandramani Hospital, Maheshwani Children Hospital, Yogeshwar Hospital. Here is the list of units sealed today.
