Surat Crime Branch nabs Maulvi for threatening Hindu leader

Surat: The Crime Branch of the city police today detained a Maulvi for giving threats to Hindu leaders. The Surat Crime Branch detained Maulvi Sohail Teemol from Fulwadi Road in the Chowk Bazar area for issuing threats to Hindutva leader Avdhesh. The police received information about the threats, and Maulvi’s involvement was confirmed through technical surveillance.
Surat City Commissioner of Police, Anupam Singh Gahlaut, briefed the media, stating ‘that one person has been apprehended, and further interrogation will take place. We are investigating the phone number, origin of weapons, and other related details about the accused’s plan. Detailed interrogation of the accused will be conducted to determine if others from the state, country, or any other places are involved in the crime.” DeshGujarat
