AAP Surat leader Alpesh Kathiriya leaves party

Surat: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Alpesh Kathiriya today resigned from the party. Kathiriya had contested assembly election from Varachha seat in the year 2022 elections unsuccessfully. Before joining AAP, Kathiriya was formerly with Patidar Anamat Andolan Samiti (PAAS). Along with Kathiriya, another PAAS face who had joined AAP, Dharmik Malaviya has also resigned from AAP. Malaviya had contested 2022 election as Olpad assembly seat candidate for AAP. Both were considered responsible for victory of AAP in Surat Municipal Corporation (SMC) elections. Hailing from Leuva Patidar community, Kathiriya and Malaviya may join BJP in near future. Kathiriya said he would discuss with his supporters on the next course of actions. Both Kathiriya and Malaviya were declared as Star Campaigners for Gujraat campaign for upcoming Lok Sabha polls. DeshGujarat
