6-lane Narol – Vishala – Sarkhej elevated corridor, 8-lane Shastri bridge; PM performs virtual Bhumi pujan

Ahmedabad: Prime Minister Narendrabhai Modi performed a virtual Bhoomi poojan of the proposed 10.170 km elevated corridor and bridge projects in Ahmedabad via video conferencing. The proposed elevated corridor will connect Narol junction to Sarkhej junction in the city.
It will come up on National Highway 47. The proposed project includes an 8-lane Lal Bahadur Shastri bridge. The elevated corridor starting from Narol junction to Sarkhej junction shall be six-lane. It will also cover the Vishala to Sarkhej route via Juhapura.
The project will come up at a total cost of Rs. 1,295 crore. The project involves the construction of a 4.84 km long elevated corridor from Vishala to Sarkhej via Juhapura road, a flyover at Pirana crossroads and another flyover at Kozi hotel, and an 8-lane Shastri bridge over river Sabarmati.
The Prime Minister also virtually performed Khat Mahurat of four-lane works on the Satlasna – Kheralu highway on national highway 58 and 10 meters widening of Gavadka-Bagasra section nH 351 (package-3) in Gujarat.In total Rs. 1575 crore national highway projects will see khat mahurat. DeshGujarat
