GUVNL invites bids for 1,125 MW Solar Power Projects in Khavda

Gandhinagar: Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd (GUVNL) plans to acquire 1,125 MW of solar power from projects to be established in GSECL’s RE Park at Khavda. The procurement will be carried out through a bidding process on a “Build Own Operate” basis. Successful bidders will enter into a 25-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with GUVNL.

This initiative involves allocating 12 plots under the tender, with the selection of grid-connected solar PV projects totaling 1,125 MW and two smaller capacity plots (60.24 MW and 64.76 MW) in GSECL’s RE Park at Khavda through a competitive bidding and e-reverse auction process.

Each bidder is required to bid for a minimum capacity of 100 MW, with ten 100 MW plots allotted based on the lowest quoted tariff after the e-reverse auction. The remaining smaller capacity plots will be allocated to the last successful bidder, regardless of quoted capacity, following the e-reverse auction, provided they meet the qualification requirements, as outlined in the tender document.
