Ahmedabad: After the transformation of the stretch from Airport Road to Indira Bridge Circle, the administration is planning to convert 40 road stretches in the city into ‘iconic roads.’
With an estimated cost of Rs 150 crore, the funding for this project comes from the Union government’s Central Road Infrastructure Fund (CRIF). The initiative aims to enhance road stretches located around major entry points into the city.
It is learned that the project includes the development of a road from Visat Circle to Zundal Circle, in addition to transforming stretches connecting the old municipal ward office to Amrakunj Bungalows and Devnanadan Horizon Sanidhya Elora to Surya’s Circle in the same area.
Funds have been allocated for the road from Astral House to Babul Baug Party Plot in Bodakdev and from Rajpath Club to Rudraksh Bungalows crossroads. The SK Farm-Iskcon-Ambli BRTS Road and Santoor Bungalows crossroads-Ambli village stretches are also included in the project. DeshGujarat
