Another kite string fatality: 22-year-old woman loses life in Surat

Surat: In yet another incident related to the kite string (Manja), a 22-year-old woman, Dikshita Thummar, died in the city. The kite string cut her throat while she was riding her two-wheeler on a flyover in the Nana Varachha area.
The incident occurred around 6:15 pm on Thursday on the slope of the flyover. Following the occurrence, she was promptly transported to AAIMS hospital in Simada, where she was declared dead. The Kapodra police have registered a case of accidental death and are currently conducting an investigation into the case.
The deceased was a college student and resided with her parents, brother, and other family members in Amrut Residency of Mota Varachha. Despite initial inquiries, the police did not find any evidence of the kite string on her body or at the incident site. DeshGujarat
