No relief to Sanjiv Bhatt in custodial murder case

Gandhinagar: Sacked controversial suspended IPS officer Sanjiv Bhatt has once again failed to get relief from court.
The Gujarat High Court rejected Bhatt’s plea against life sentence in a 33 years old custodial torture case. The Gujarat High Court upheld the trial court verdict.
Bhatt was Superintendent of Police in Jamnagar in 1990 when he arrested over 100 persons under TADA and tortured some of them in custody, among whom one person died.
