You’ll be compelled to relocate to Gujarat for jobs: Uddhav Thackeray to north Indian migrants
December 25, 2023
Mumbai: Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Uddhav Thackeray asserted on Sunday that industries and businesses in Maharashtra are being relocated to Gujarat, allegedly to bolster Gujarat’s strength. Uddhav who is part of I.N.D.I alliance also voiced concerns that the north Indian migrants residing in Mumbai and its vicinity might be compelled to move to Gujarat for employment.
Speaking at a public event for north Indians in the Mira Bhayander area, Thackeray said, “Prime Minister Narendra Modi was in Gujarat around ten days ago. Economic activities are now being shifted to Gujarat to fortify the state. If he aims to empower Gujarat, that’s fine, but not at the expense of taking away our businesses.”
“You came to Mumbai in pursuit of employment, invested considerable efforts, and established yourselves here. Now, you may be compelled to relocate to Gujarat for job opportunities,” he remarked. DeshGujarat
