Surat: Hindi film actors Akshay Kumar and Disha Patni attended the closing ceremony of 15th International Kudo Tournament 2023-24 at Veer Narmad South Gujarat University hall here on Tuesday.

The tournament is named after Akshay Kumar as it was Akshay Kumar who brought Kudo to India after he learned it while doing Rowdy Rathore movie.

As many as 78 persons from Surat and 250 from Gujarat participated in Akshay Kumar Kudo International Tournament this year. The winners will go to play South Asia and Asia cup of Kudo, said organizers.

Akshay and Disha will be seen together in upcoming Hindi film ‘Welcome to Jungle’. Akshay Kumar on this occasion called his childhood school friend Jigneshbhai from the audience on the state and said, ‘we were not good in studies, but would always do better in sports in school’. DeshGujarat
