Speaker and Banas Dairy Chairman Shankar Chaudhary’s father passes away

Radhanpur: Father of Gujarat Assembly Speaker and Banas Dairy Chairman Shankarbhai Chaudhary passed away today at the age of 102. Lagdhirbhai Chaudhary, father of Shankarbhai Chaudhary passed away due to age related illness at Vadnagar village of Radhanpur belt in North Gujarat.
Lagdhirbbhai was involved in public service activities throughout his life. He had worked with Puja Ravishankar Maharaj in Bhudan movement. He had donated his 10 bigha land for colony of Vadi community(denotified tribe) in which over 250 Vadi community people live today. Lagdhir Bapa had close repations with saints like Dattasharnanandji, Sadaram Bapaji, Ujjanwada mandir mahant, Sanadar mandir’s Pujya Krishnanandaji among others. During famine, Lagdhirbapa had created a borewell for arrangement of drinking water for the locals.
Lagdhirbapa had started a primary school in his house itself and helped poor and needy people as per his capacity during his lifetime. He was lifelong Gau Vrati. He would feed birds and ants on a daily basis.
Lagdhir bapa would take a meal only after offering water to Sun God. When due to the cloudy atmosphere, Sun would not appear in the sky, he would keep fast. His funeral procession was joined by thousands of people including son Shankarbhai Chaudhary, family members, MLAs, social and cooperative leaders among others. DeshGujarat
