Bullet train project: Engineer booked for missing 36 tonne steel bars

Vadodara: A civil engineer working for the Ahmedabad-Mumbai high-speed rail project (bullet train project) is under the scanner of Sayajiganj police here for the alleged theft of 36-tonne steel bars of Rs. 18 lakh value.
According to a police complaint filed by L&T company’s executive admin Anilkumar Singh, a civil engineer Tapan Bishwas is responsible for missing 36-tonne steel bars from the Punjab rolling mill near Panya bridge in Vadodara.
