Gujarat govt approves FDODO scheme for new CNG stations on PPP mode

Gandhinagar: Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel has given approval to FDODO – ‘Full dealer owned dealer operated’ scheme under which CNG stations will be set up in the State under Public Private Partnership(PPP) model.
The scheme will be executed by the State government owned Gujarat Gas Ltd and Sabarmati Gas Ltd. The selection will take place through transparent method as per the announcement made by the State government today, which comes after a meeting held in presence of the Chief Minister and Energy Minister.
Gujarat is leading state offering CNG with 1,002 CNG stations. In order to expand the spread of CNG stations, the Chief Minister has approved FDODO CNG scheme. Under this scheme, dealer will be responsible for taking all approvals to set up a CNG station, including the land, and documents. CNG station will require to follow the specifications given by Gujarat Gas Ltd and Sabarmati Gas Ltd for construction and mechanical and electrical set up of CNG stations. Dealer will be responsible for buying, fitting and operation of compressor, cascade, CNG dispenser, tubing etc.
Gujarat Gas and Sabarmati Gas will supply gas online through their 3050 km long steel network and also through vehicle delivery. DeshGujarat
