Upcoming Vande Sadharan Express spotted in Vadodara during trial run; Video goes viral

Vadodara: Vande Sadharan Express train which is expected to be launched in near future on Mumbai – Delhi route, was spotted at Vadodara railway station of Central Gujarat during its trial run on Friday night. A video of the same has gone viral.

While Vande Bharat train is fully air conditioned, its Sadharan version will is non-AC. A 22-coach Vande Sadharan will have sleeper and general classes. It will have CCTV and censor base facilities. It is reported that it will have engines on its both sides.

It is likely to be introduced on Mumbai – New Delhi, Patna – New Delhi, Howrah – New Delhi, Hyderabad – New Delhi and Ernakulam – Guwahati routes, for which preparations are on.

The train will run in range of 100-130 km/hour on routes where end to end distance is over 500 km.

Vande Sadharan will be a fully non-AC train. It will have sleeper and second class coaches. It will have total 22 coaches, of which 12 will be sleeper coaches and 8 will be second class coaches. 2 coaches will be for goods. The train will be run on push and pull technique with one engine on the front and the other on rear. The first set of Vande Sadharan express trains is likely to be introduced on Udhna-Jaynagar or Bandra-Barauni Gorakhpur routes. In a technical trial conducted on Mumbai-Ahmedabad route, the train took 2.55 hours to reach Surat from Ahmedabad. After the success of technical trial, the train will undergo speed trial. The train during its technical trial tool 6.30 hours to reach Mumbai Central from Ahmedabad. Planned speed of this train is 130 km/hour. The trial was conducted in 110-130 km/hour speed range.
