Sand Sculpture Festival marking Sardar Patel Jayanti at Sarkeshwar Beach in Amreli

Amreli: Lalit Kala Academy of Gujarat on Sunday started a Sand Sculpture Festival at Sarkeshwar Beach on the Jafarabad coast in Amreli, in which, artists created sculptures in the sand, including one featuring Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.
MLA Hirabhai Solanki inaugurated this three-day sand sculpture festival which has been organized in anticipation of the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel with the aim of developing a local tourist destination.
A total of 35 sand sculpture artists from different parts of the state are participating in this event. They have created sand sculptures, including portraits of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Saumya Swaroop, Suraj, Matsya Kanya, Akhand Bharat, Dolphin, India Gate, Ganapati, and local fish.
