Maulana accused of committing unnatural acts on student in Madrasa; Mangrol Police books 2

Junagadh: The Mangrol Police have booked two individuals, including a Ustad (teacher) from Jamia Islamiyah Arbiyah Kashiful-Uloom Education Trust. The accused, Abbas Sameja, who works as a teacher in a Madarsa here, is alleged to have engaged in inappropriate conduct with a student. It has come to light that the accused has previously committed similar offences against other children. Consequently, the police have initiated a comprehensive investigation into the matter.
Ustad Abbas Sameja, associated with Jamia Islamiyah Arbiyah Kashiful-Uloom Education Trust, located on the Mangrol-Veraval road, is accused of committing an unnatural act against a student. Students at the Madrasa have reported that the Maulana summoned them to his room in the middle of the night, under the pretext of asking for foot massage, but instead engaged in unnatural acts. He threatened them, saying that unless they complied, they would not be allowed to continue their studies, and their names would be removed from the Madrasa.
Junagadh SP Harshad Mehta has stated that a complaint was received that an unnatural act was committed against a child studying at Kashiful-Uloom Madrasa in Mangarol town. Recognising the severity of the crime, multiple police teams were formed to ensure the safety of the children studying at this Madrasa and to prevent any further criminal activities. Two individuals have been booked in this case. A formal complaint has been lodged at the Mangrol Police Station against Maulana Abbas Sameja and Mufti Saheb Daud Fakira(trustee of the Kashiful-Uloom Education Trust) under Section 377 and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. Information regarding similar incidents involving other children has also emerged. The police are currently conducting an investigation to determine how many children have been affected by such incidents at this Madrasa in the past, the duration of the accused’s employment at the Madrasa, and the background of the accused individual.
