3 Vadodara women in Israel amid war; Families seek MP’s help for safe return

Vadodara: Three women from Vadodara are trapped in the Israel-Hamas war zone. Their families have requested Vadodara MP Ranjanbehan Bhatt to bring back their family members stuck in Israel to Vadodara as soon as possible. The MP has received all the information from the families and has sent it to the Ministry of External Affairs. The process has been initiated to bring them back to the country.
“My mother, Chayaben, and my aunt, Rupalben, are in Israel. Both work as caretakers. They are in Netanya, not far from the border. The situation was serious earlier, and we requested the MP to bring back our mom and aunt. However, Netanya City is far from the war-torn area, and there is currently peace. Mom and aunt do not want to return, so they have asked the MP not to arrange their return,” says Ritu Chavda from Akashganga Society, Makarpura.
“My mom, Sandhya Vaijapurkar, has been in Israel for a year and a half and works as a caretaker. She is in Ashdod, which is 40 to 50 km from the Palestine border. Sirens go off 2 to 3 times a day, and my mother takes shelter in the safe room. The situation has worsened, and we have requested the MP to ensure my mother’s safe return,” says Soham Vaijapurkar from Rajaratna Society, Navapura.
“These women from Vadodara are in Israel for work purposes. Their families have contacted the MP’s office and appealed for their return to India. I have forwarded their information to the Ministry of External Affairs, which has contacted Israel and held discussions to bring them back to India,” said Ranjanbehan Bhatt, MP.
The Indian Government has initiated ‘Operation Ajay’ to bring back the Indians stranded in Israel. The first flight of this operation reached Delhi airport on Friday morning, carrying 212 Indians from Israel. The second flight, carrying 235 Indians, also took off from Tel Aviv last night.
In some areas of Israel far from the Israel-Palestine border, the situation is under control, and people are experiencing some relief. Some Indians are willing to stay there as Israel’s army has gained control of most of the war-torn region of their country. DeshGujarat
