Gujarat govt to start Kharif produce purchase on support prices from Oct 21

Gandhinagar: Gujarat government has decided to start purchase of Kharif produce on support prices from 21 October.
A decision in this regard was taken in a meeting chaired by Agriculture minister Raghavji Patel here.
Kharif produce for which purchase will commence on 21 October are Groundnut, Mung and Udad.
Farmers can register online for selling of their produce at support price during 25 September to 16 October on E-samridhi portal through e-gram centers.
The government has a plan to purchase 9.98 lakh mt groundnut worth Rs. 6,364 crore and 91,343 mt Soyabean worth Rs. 420 crore.
Agriculture minister said the government has done advance planning for smooth purchase. He said the purchase under the Price Support Scheme(PSS) linked to Prime Minister Annadata Income Protection Abhiyaan (PM-ASHA) shall commence.DeshGujarat
