USD 12,000 cash stolen from bag at Ahmeabad airport; Dubai returned passenger files complaint

Ahmedabad: 12,000 U.S. dollars of a passenger of international flight, kept in a luggage bag were stolen at Ahmedabad airport. A complaint in this regard has been filed with the Airport police station here by a Dubai returned passenger.
Complainant Dipak Doshi is a businessman from Lunawada in Mahisagar district. His elder brother Viral Doshi lives in Dubai for last two years.
On 12th August, Dipakbhai arrived at SVPI airport to catch SpiceJet flight SG 15 to Dubai. He completed screening of his five luggage bags and after boarding process, left for Dubai. When reached his brother’s place in Dubai, Dipakbhai found 12,000 USD missing in one of five luggage bags. The lock and sticker by Airport Authority and SpiceJet were found open. USD 12,000 cash was missing form that bag only.
Dipakbhai reached Spice Jet office at Dubai airport and informed about missing dollars. As per their rules, Spice Jet office at Ahmedabad airport was subsequently contacted via email with all details. Dipakbhai’s family member Vrajesh Parikh even physically visited the airport for this.
After returning from Dubai visit, Dipak Doshi has filed formal complaint at the Airport police station in Ahmedabad, stating that he believes the cash stolen at Ahmedabad airport itself. Police have booked unidentified thief under IPC section 379 based on Doshi’s complaint. DeshGujarat
