Maninagar Police nabs one for harassing a Hindu female since 3-month

Ahmedabad: Police in the Maninagar area of the city have nabbed a 35-year-old man Aftab who was allegedly harassing a 21-year-old Hindu girl for the last few months.
The accused, Sherkhan alias Aftankhan Ashrafkhan Pathan, is a 35-year-old unmarried man who works as a rickshaw driver. Allegedly, he had been harassing the Hindu female for the past three months while she was commuting daily to work in the Ramannagar area of Maninagar. The female confided in her mother about the situation, leading to a confrontation with the accused. As a result, he ceased following her for about 15 days. However, on Thursday, the female, told by her brother-in-law (sister’s husband), who caught the accused and filed a complaint at the Maninagar police station.
“A 21-year-old female residing in Dakshini Society within the jurisdiction of the Maninagar police station was subjected to harassment by the accused for about 3 months. The female informed her brother-in-law yesterday, who caught the accused and brought him to the police station at around 9:30 pm on Thursday. The accused, identified as Sherkhan alias Aftankhan Ashrafkhan Pathan, is a resident of Milatnagar. A harassment crime has been filed against him after his detention, and the Maninagar police have initiated an investigation the case further.” said Pradipsinh Jadeja, ACP – G Division. DeshGujarat
