Standing committee of SMC approves Rs 174.22 crore tender for Dumas Sea Face project

Surat: Surat Municipal Corporation (SMC) standing committee approved a tender of Rs 174.22 crore for phase 1 of the Dumas Sea Phase Development project.
Dummas sea phase development project will be developed on the Marine theme. SMC had estimated a cost of Rs 137.72 crore for the project. However, the cost of the tender with operation and maintenance for 5 years was 25.51 percent higher than the estimation, which was Rs 174.22 crore.
Phase 1 of the project will include a multilevel mechanized car parking building. It will also have a kid’s play area across 7000 square meters. It will have a 1-km long cycle track and a 1-km long walkway based on a marine theme. It will have 9 sculptures of various types. It will also have an urban beach across 3800 square meters.
