August 01, 2023
Gandhinagar: The weekly train between the state capital Gandhinagar and Varanasi, i.e., Train no. 22467/68 Gandhinagar Capital – Varanasi Superfast Express, is cancelled for the next 30 days, starting Tuesday.
This decision was taken in light of the ongoing engineering work associated with the remodelling of Varanasi railway station. The train, scheduled to leave Gandhinagar on Thursdays and Varanasi on Wednesdays, will not be operational during this period. Passengers who have already booked tickets will receive a refund.
Additionally, the Gandhigram-Bhavnagar train will also be cancelled for the next 90 days. This particular train, which used to depart from Gandhigram at 6.45 am and Bhavnagar at 5 pm, was a summer special train with limited passenger demand.
On a separate note, the railways have decided to extend the services of the Okha-Ahmedabad-Madurai Special train until September 29. DeshGujarat
