Vadodara Mumbai Expressway likely to be ready by March 2025; Ahmedabad-Dholera Expressway by Aug 2024

Gandhinagar: The Vadodara Mumbai Expressway and Ahmedabad-Dholera Expressway are targeted to be completed by March 2025 and August 2024, respectively, stated the Minister of Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Jairam Gadkari, in response to a question from a Rajya Sabha member during the ongoing monsoon session of Parliament.
In Gujarat, the construction of the Vadodara-Mumbai Expressway has been undertaken in ten packages, and the Ahmedabad-Dholera Expressway has been taken up in four packages.

Moreover, the 8-Laned Delhi Vadodara Expressway (Pkg-26 to Pkg-31) of approximately 150 Km length in Gujarat is part of the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway. The current progress of the work is 58.74%. Additionally, the construction of the Sanchore-Santalpur 6-lane access-controlled highway, spanning 125 km in length, and the Tharad-Ahmedabad 6-Lane access-controlled highway, approximately 213 km in length, in the State of Gujarat has been initiated and is currently under construction.
