Fans book hospital beds as hotel prices soar for India vs. Pakistan world cup match in Ahmedabad

Ahmedabad: After the schedule of the ICC Cricket World Cup was announced, revealing the much-anticipated India-Pakistan clash happening at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on October 15, hotel rates in the city skyrocketed around the match day. Now, as hotel bookings are expensive and almost full in the city, people are resorting to booking hospital beds for accommodation around match day.
Cricket commentator, Mufaddal Vohra tweeted that fans are booking hospital beds in Ahmedabad as hotel rooms hit record-breaking rates for the India vs. Pakistan match.

Hotel rooms in Ahmedabad have already been fully booked in anticipation of the October event, with prices soaring beyond Rs. 1.5 lakh. Additionally, in Vadodara, hotel booking fares have escalated by six to seven times their usual rates in October as the city is only 1 hour away from Ahmedabad. DeshGujarat
