Leaders of BJP Minority Morcha submit Waqf documents to back legality of Dargahs in Junagadh

Junagadh: Leaders of the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party’s Minority Morcha met with the Deputy Commissioner of Junagadh Municipal Corporation and submitted certain documents related to the Dargahs that had received notice of demolition from the administration.
Leaders of the BJP Minority Morcha, including Gujarat BJP Minority Morcha Secretary Husenbhai Dal, Junagadh District BJP Minority Morcha President Abdulaminya Syed, Junagadh Metro BJP Minority Morcha President Shabbirbhai Amrelia, Junagadh District Sandhi Muslim Samaj President Alibhai Sandh, Walimhamadbhai Dal, Yasinbhai Aghwan, Arifbhai Nai, Husenbhai Seeda, Hamidaben Dal, Faizalbapu Qadri, Advocate Jafarbhai Basthiya, Husensha Shahamdar, Jafarbhai Paleja, etc., have submitted documents related to the 5 Dargahs, including the Waqf boards PTR, property documents, and old bills.
The civic body had served notice to submit the evidence of the legality of several dargah and mandir structures in five days. However, the BJP Minority Morcha delegation sought a period of 30 days to submit further evidence in support of dargah structures. The Deputy Commissioner stated that the submitted supporting evidence will be taken into consideration and granted an extension of 15 days to submit additional supporting evidence.
A large number of Muslims had last week attacked Police and civilians protesting notice served to the dargah at Majevadi darwaja for demolition. Junagadh Municipal Corporation (JMC) had asked to submit documents to show that the structure was legal and authorized. One civilian Hindu was dead in violence while several police persons were injured. Several police vehicles were burnt or damaged. A police chowky was also attacked by a mob of Muslims protesting the notice.
