Gandhinagar: Prime Minister Narendrabhai Modi today shared a link of Gujarati poet Tushar Shukla’s poem hailing the Government for its efforts and actions to protect citizens during cyclone Biporjoy.
The PM in his tweet wrote -I feel satisfied reading such responses. A beautiful and sensual expression.
The poem hailing the duty and service done by Government machinery, voices that perception about Government administration is changing. The poem also has the expression that the collective will make impossible things possible. We criticize the Govt, lets appreciate it too.
આવા પ્રતિભાવો વાંચીને સંતોષની લાગણી અનુભવું છું. સુંદર અને સંવેદનાસભર અભિવ્યક્તિ….. https://t.co/c8DWgN5Cjy

It’s worth noting that there has been no reported death due to Biporjoy cyclone which had landfall in Kutch district of Gujarat last week. According to the State government, over 55,000 fishing boats were recalled from the sea ahead of the cyclone. Over 1 lakh persons were shifted to safer places from vulnerable coastal areas. Pregnant women were identified by Government machinery and they were taken to a safer place where they can avail medical attention. Yesterday, union Home Minister Amitbhai Shah had also admired the actions by the State government before, during and after the cyclone. DeshGujarat
