Gujarat records 401 rounds of tankers for water supply in 88 villages across 7 districts

Gandhinagar: The state-reported 401 rounds (daily regular trips) of tanker deliveries for water supply in 88 villages across 7 districts as of 1st June when the summer is at its peak.
To address the water scarcity issue, a total of 66 tankers were deployed to provide water to the affected villages. Specifically, in Rajkot, a total of 138 rounds of tanker deliveries were conducted in 16 villages located in Kotda Sangani, Padadhari, Rajkot, Lodhika, and Vinchhiya talukas. In Bhavnagar, 115 rounds of tanker deliveries took place in 18 villages of Gariyadhar, Talaja, Palitana, and Bhavnagar talukas.
Additionally, in Banaskantha, 51 rounds of tankers were reported for 19 villages of Amirgadh, Tharad, and Vav. In Surendranagar, 14 rounds of tanker deliveries were conducted for 5 villages of Muli, Wadhwan, and Limbdi.
