Surat: A banner was seen put up over a busy street in the Limbayat area of the city Wednesday morning, questioning the use of mobile phones by women.
The banner was seen hanging in the Khwaja Nagar area of Limabayat which is Muslims populated area. The text on the banner reads, “What do sisters and daughters do on mobile phones? It is the responsibility of mothers, fathers, and brothers that they have not paid attention to this.”
The text on the banner also states, “Far from religion (din), our girls are becoming apostates.” Additionally, there is a ticker displaying “Love Trap” on the poster. The poster also calls for saving the daughters by giving them religious education.
The hanging of such a banner has left people flabbergasted. It appears reminiscent of the terror group ISIS, which had banned mobile phone use for women in its territory and would chop off the hands of women in for using a mobile phone. DeshGujarat
