ACB Gujarat nabs Bank Officer in bribe case

Rapar(Kutch): Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) of Gujarat Police today nabbed a recovery officer of Bank of Baroda in a bribe case involving the sum of Rs. 5,000.
According to ACB note, accused Omkarmal Parbatram Saini works as Recovery officer in Bank of Baroda’s Rapar branch in Kutch district. Accused is class-2 servant.
A complainant in this case had taken Rs. 1.40 lakh loan from the bank which was fully repaid and he was needing a No Objection Certificate (NOC) to confirm the same. The accused had demanded Rs. 5,000 bribe to issue the NOC, which the complainant was not willing to pay, and therefore he contacted ACB, following which a trap was arranged and the accused was nabbed as he accepted Rs. 5,000 bribe.
