Talati recruitment exam of GPSSB conducted smoothly; Results to be out in June

Gandhinagar: The recruitment exam for vacant posts of Talati Mantri was conducted smoothly today in Gujarat. Over 8 lakh youths had registered for the exam and received call letters. According to IPS Hasmukh Patel, in-charge Chairman of Gujarat Panchayat Service Selection Board (GPSSB), the exam is completed smoothly without any untoward incident or complain. Patel said the people of Gujarat converted Pariksha (exam) into Prasang (occasion).
Special buses were specially operated by the Gujarat government arm Gujarat State Road Transport Corporation (GSRTC). 9 additional trains were put on track for candidates for exams. Private buses were in a special case given relaxations from stage-carriage rules. The exam was conducted across 30 districts and 2694 centers. 17,10,000 candidates had registered for the exam, out of which 8,64,000 asked for call letters. Removal of shoes, photography, and videography of candidates were some new practices added to today’s exam. Patel said 80-85 percent of candidates might have given the exam today. The exact figures shall be known tomorrow, he added.
Patel said he spoke to the State Intelligence Department head IPS Anupamsinh Gehlot and received clarity that all was well, before kicking off the exam. the results shall be out in the month of June.
