Gandhinagar: Over the course of the next two years, the panchayat department intends to hire 10,000 new employees, announced the Minister of State for Panchayat, Bachubhai Khabad during an event at the Mahatma Mandir here.

Khabad emphasized on the crucial role of panchayat employees in delivering government schemes and benefits to all citizens. At the same event, 1,760 youngsters who were recently selected as multipurpose health workers by the Gujarat Panchayat Service Selection Board (GPSSB) were given their appointment letters.
