Around 170 families return to Hindu faith; do Ghar Wapsi in Navsari

Navsari: Around 170 families in Kavdej village of Vansda taluka of Navsari have left Christianity and re-converted to Hinduism through ‘Shuddhikarana Mahayagya’ a purification program organized by an organization called Agniveer Hindu Sangathan. The event was held in the Shraddha Mandir of Vansda taluka and was attended by saints of the Swaminarayan sect.
Religious conversion is happening on a large scale in the state, particularly in tribal areas where families had earlier converted from Hinduism to Christianity due to a change in faith and the belief that their sick children would be cured. Agniveer Hindu Sangathan is working to awaken people and bring them back to Hinduism. Over 9,000 families have already been converted back to Hinduism. DeshGujarat
