April 07, 2023
Gandhinagar: Rangeelu Gujarat, a cultural exhibition featuring established and up-and-coming artists from Gujarat, will be held in London’s Brent from September 1 to September 3 after a seven-year hiatus.
The event will include workshops on music, dance, fabric, and other art forms. The exhibition is expected to attract 50,000 visitors over the three days.
Mira Salat, director of Red Lotus Events, a community interest company, stated that there is no specific theme for the event but that it will be a larger version of the 2016 exhibition, with the addition of cinema and literature, reflecting the significant development of Gujarati cinema in recent years. The event is supported by the Council of Brent and the British government, and it will take place in Brent, where most of the Gujarati community in London resides.
In the 2016 edition, the two-day event drew 27,000 visitors and featured Bandhni and Ajrakh workshops, as well as performances by around 40 Gujarat artists. DeshGujarat
