VIP quota scrapped by Centre, common Haj applicants to benefit: Gujarat Haj Committee

Gandhinagar: Gujarat government in a note today stated that common Hajj applicants will benefit hugely due to an increase in the Hajj quota and closure of the VIP quota for Hajj by the central government. As per the new Hajj policy 2023, the Hajj committee’s quota in total Hajj quota has been increased from 70 percent to 80 percent. In accordance with this move, Gujarat also will get an increased quota every year. The Centre has also ended the VIP quota for Hajj which would benefit the common applicants as per the Chairman of Gujarat State Hajj Committee.
