UP Police detains one for Bomb threat letter in Ahmedabad

Amdavad: A person identified as Omprakash Paswan from Ballia was detained by Uttar Pradesh Police for sending a letter threatening serial bomb blasts in Ahmedabad on Republic Day.
Gujarat Police received a bomb threat letter on Wednesday, mentioning a serial blast to be carried out at around 11 AM on republic day in four places in the city including Kalupur Railway station and Gita Mandir Bus stand.
The letter received by Commissioners’ office had Paswan’s name and phone number, which helped the Crime branch trace the number to Ballia. Later, UP police detained him for questioning.
According to sources in the Crime Branch, Paswan and his wife have mental health issues and they wrote the letter.
The letter said that ” Kal 26 January ko Ahmedabad main Tabahi hi tabahi hogi”, it also mentioned the places and timings of the blast. DeshGujarat
