Ministers pay surprise visits to their department offices

Gandhinagar: Agriculture and Fisheries Minister Raghavji Patel today paid a surprise visit to the offices of the Fisheries department and checked the presence of the staff there. He also conversed with the staffers and inquired about the facilities they would wish to have for better efficiency. Raghavji found that some senior staffers were absent from the office. He was told that some of those absent were in an additional charge and therefore they could be on duty at the other office. Raghavji had previously also paid a surprise visit to the offices of the Agriculture department. Another minister, Jagdish Vishwakarma, who is the minister of state also paid a surprise visit to his department to check the presence of the staff today. While Raghavjibhai is the cabinet minister for Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, Cow-Breeding, Fisheries, Rural Housing, and Rural Development, Jagdish Vishwakarma is the Minister of State for cooperation, Salt Industries, Printing and Stationary, Protocol (All Independent Charge), Micro, Small and Medium Industries, Cottage, Khadi and Rural Industries, Civil Aviation, (State Minister).
