8.6 lakh eligible voters choose Vote from Home

Gandhinagar: Out of 12.26 lakh voter in the category of senior citizens and person with disabilities (PWDs) in the state, 8.6 lakh have opted to Vote form Home.
To avail Election Commission of India’s schemes to vote from home, senior citizens and PWDs have to fill form D and Election officials and observer will visit their homes so they can vote through postal ballots.
“A total of 8.60 lakh people registered through the Form D option to vote from home. We expect all voters registered in this category to exercise their franchise,” sources in the office of the CEO told TOI.
