Gandhinagar: Another sitting Congress party legislator has resigned from the State Assembly and also from the party. Bhavesh Katara, an MLA from Jhalod assembly seat in Dahod district of Central Gujarat handed over his resignation to the State assembly Speaker Neemaben Acharya in Gandhinagar late on 9 November. Bhavesh is likely to join the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). It has to be seen whether he gets a ticket to contest from Jhalod seat in upcoming assembly polls that are going to take place in the first week of December. Bhavesh Katara was upset with the Congress party for a long. Congress has dropped Bhavesh and given a ticket for Jhalod seat to another party cadre. Earlier on November 9, another Congress MLA Bhagabhai Barad from Talala seat also resigned and joined BJP. A day ago, the most senior Gujarat MLA Mohansinh Rathwa left Congress and joined BJP with his both sons. DeshGujarat
