Economy to reach $30 trillion by 2047: Union Minister Piyush Goyal

Vadodara: Piyush Goyal, Union Minister of Commerce and Industry was addressing the professionals yesterday as part of Bhartiya Janta Party’s ‘Agresar Gujarat Samvad’ in the city. While addressing the professionals the Union Minister said that India is going to become a $30 trillion economy by 2047.
Addressing the professionals here in the run-up to the assembly polls Goyal said, “India’s economy in 2047 when we celebrate 100 years of independence will reach $30 trillion, which is today about $3.5 trillion. the explanation is simple, as in the last 25 years, the GDP has increased 10 folds and compounded annual growth rate (CAGR) stands at 8.72% in dollar terms. Similarly, if we extrapolate these numbers economy will reach the $30 trillion mark in 25 years automatically.”

Goyal also said, “When people are assured that basic facilities such as Roti, Kapda and Makan are going to be met, they aspire to buy amenities and luxury products to increase their standard of living, which will help the economy to grow at a faster pace.”
Concluding his speech Goyal requested the professionals to vote for BJP in the coming elections without making mistakes and bless PM Modi with huge victory so that Gujarat and the whole nation can became Agresar.
