Quota agitation leaders Alpesh Kathiria, Dharmik Malaviya may join AAP

Ahmedabad: Surat based leaders of year 2015 quota agitation, Alpesh Kathiriya and Dharmik Malaviya are likely to join Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) at the public meeting of AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal in Gariadhar in Saurashtra. Both had helped AAP to win 27 seats in Saurashtra origin Patidar community populated areas of Surat city. All the seats AAP had won were previously occupied by Congress councilors. Kathiria is facing number of criminal cases, some related to the quota agitation, but some unrelated. He was imprisoned for months in connection with these crimes. His secret help was believed responsible for AAP victory in 27 seats in SMC polls about two years ago. DeshGujarat
