Gujarat Congress chief alleges ECI is not independent
October 14, 2022
Ahmedabad: Gujarat Congress chief Jagdish Thakor today alleged that the Election Commission of India (ECI) is biased and favoring a political party. He said ECI will declared the dates of Gujarat elections only after receiving a letter recommending same from the ruling party. Thakor said ECI is not independent. He said Prime Minister Modi is yet to visit Gujarat and make arrangements and do pending tasks. After completing all this, a letter will be sent to ECI and then only Gujarat polls will take place. Thakor said this when he was asked by media persons to react to the announcement of election schedule of another poll-bound State Himachal Pradesh today. DeshGujarat
