Centre approves widening / strengthening of Dhoraji – Jamkandorana – Kalavad highway

New Delhi: The central government on Thursday approved the widening and strengthening of the Dhoraji – Jamkandorana – Kalavad Section of NH-927D in Gujarat to 2-Lane at the cost of over ₹ 246 crores.
In a tweet, Nitin Gadkari, the Union Minister for Road Transport & Highways, announced that ” the project to widen and strengthen the Dhoraji – Jamkandorana – Kalavad Section of the NH-927D has been approved for a cost of Rs. 246.60 crores on EPC mode with a total length of 58.115 Km & Construction period of 2 years.”
The tweet further stated that “The stretch would connect 3 major districts of Rajkot, Jamnagar and Junagadh through NH-27 & NH-151. This project would also enhance connectivity from Dhoraji to Jamnagar, connecting well-known places like Kalavad, & Jamkandorna.”
“This enhanced road connectivity would act as a catalyst for economic and industrial growth in the region,” Gadkari added.
