October 04, 2022
Gandhinagar: Harshad Ribadiya, Congress MLA from Visavdar who resigned today from Congress party and also as Legislator today said that Congress has gone directionless.
He said – while the State assembly election is in Gujarat, pad yatra is going on in South India. It is required here.
Ribadiya further said – Look at the situation of Rajsthan. Prabharis were appointed from Rajasthan here but after turmoil in Rajasthan, Prabharis also wend away.
Ribadiya said he has worked for day and night as MLA alone without getting any help. He said he would take the decision on which party to join after meeting the party workers and voters. He said he is the farmer’s son and if required for the good of the last person and farmers, he would fight the election. Ribadiya said he has resigned after a full term when the announcement of the election is just a fortnight away.
It is believed that Ribadiya will shortly join the BJP. It is not clear whether the party has assured him a ticket to contest fro Visavdar. Gujarat is going to witness the regular election of the State assembly in December this year. Ribadiya is a legislator from Visavdar which is a seat known for Leuva Patel voters. Late former Chief Minister Keshubhai Patel had also contested from this seat. Ribadiya joining BJP will be a message that wind is flowing in which direction ahead of the State assembly polls.
