Surendranagar: The police of Dhrangadhra taluka have initiated legal proceedings against a man from Juna Kuda village for allegedly making a fake video viral on social media.

A video showing two people sleeping with the title “Virendragarh prone to hooch tragedy, two people in serious condition’ had gone viral on social media. The Deputy Superintendent of Police, L.C.B police and the PI of Dhrangadhra taluka were able to verify that the video was uploaded by Chakuji Ukaji Kudecha of Juna Kuda village.

While verifying the facts, the police also came to know that no such incident had happened in the district. Legal proceedings were initiated against Chakuji Ukaji at Dhrangadhra police station for falsely trying to create panic.

In another incident, Dy. SP H P Doshi has initiated legal proceedings against Nitin Bhupatbhai Sarola for preparing a fake video on country liquor. The Wadhwan police have registered an offence against Nitin and arrested him. The police believe that the video was allegedly intended to portray the police as inefficient.
